A Multinational Division Baghdad soldier died yesterday from wounds suffered when a roadside bomb struck his vehicle north of Baghdad, military officials reported today.
The soldier's name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, the Defense Department has identified seven other servicemembers who died recently:
Four Marines died April 15 when their Humvee struck a roadside bomb in Iraq's Anbar province. Killed were:
Cothran, Mayorga and Winslow were all assigned to the 2nd Tank Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C. Sims was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force, also at Camp Lejeune.
