Four individuals, including two wanted anti-Iraqi force members, were captured by 1st Infantry Division soldiers in a raid near Ad Dwar, Iraq, today.
The soldiers transported the individuals to a Multinational Force detention facility for questioning.
Also today, soldiers from the 2nd Iraqi Ministry of the Interior Commando Battalion detained three individuals during a raid in western Samarra.
IED-making material, one set of binoculars and one bag of black powder were confiscated in the raid.
Also, raids conducted by 1st Infantry Division soldiers Dec. 17 resulted in the capture of five individuals, including two suspected weapons dealers, near Bayji, Iraq.
The raids were conducted to kill or capture suspected makers of vehicle-borne explosive devices and anti-Iraqi force cell members. Two vehicles matching the description of the suspected vehicle-born IED makers were found.
Soldiers transported the five individuals to a detention facility for questioning.
There were no reports of injuries to multinational forces from any of the operations.
