    Vehicle Accident Claims Two Soldiers in Iraq

    A vehicle accident claimed the lives of two more U.S. servicemembers in Iraq Feb. 16, military officials in Baghdad reported today. It was the third fatal accident involving U.S. servicemembers in two days.

    Few details about the accident were released, but the military said the two soldiers were assigned to the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force conducting security and stability operations in the northern Babil province when the accident occurred.

    Elsewhere, the military reported that soldiers from the 42nd Infantry Division's Task Force Liberty seized and destroyed a large weapons cache near Kirkuk on Feb. 16.

    The cache contained 37 152 mm artillery rounds, 21 120 mm rockets; three mortar tubes with base plates and aiming stakes, and several machine guns, grenades and assorted ammunition.

    The military also reported that the fourth rotation of Salvadoran forces arrived at Camp Charlie in Hilla. Feb. 16.

    The Salvadoran troops are part of the Multinational Division Central-South. The rotation brings the total to 380 Salvadoran troops stationed in the region.
