    Soldier Dies of Noncombat Cause; Earlier Casualty Identified

    A U.S. soldier died in Baghdad of non-battle-related causes March 30, and the Defense Department has identified an earlier casualty.

    The Multinational Division Baghdad soldier’s name is being withheld pending notification of family members.

    Meanwhile, DoD officials announced the identity of a soldier who was killed supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

    Army Master Sgt. Sean M. Thomas, 33, of Harrisburg, Pa., died March 27 in Baghdad when his unit came in contact with enemy forces using indirect fire. Thomas was assigned to the 28th Division Support Command, Harrisburg, Pa.
