The Federal Voting Assistance Program now has a site on the World Wide Web.
Service members, their family members and all overseas citizens may now obtain absentee voting information from the program's web site, http://www.fvap.gov/.
"We are excited about this information venue for assisting our citizens, regardless of where they are in the world," program director Phyllis Taylor said. "Assistance on most votingrelated topics is now a few clicks away, and this will foster voting participation and further enhance the democratic process for our citizens."
The site provides an online overview of the program's mission and services available as well as a direct connection to the program via email.
Site visitors will also find a webbased version of most federal voting materials, including the 199697 Voting Assistance Guide. This guide contains statebystate procedures for requesting registrations and a ballot, plus a 30second public service announcement promoting all to vote.
