Sierra Military Health Services Inc. has released a toll-free telephone number and address for persons filing medical claims in TRICARE Region 1.
Activated June 1, the region encompasses the District of Columbia, Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Northern Virginia (for ZIP codes in the Washington area), Vermont, and a few ZIP codes in northeastern West Virginia.

Ask the health benefits adviser at your nearest military medical facility or Sierra's nearest TRICARE service center which Virginia and West Virginia ZIP codes are in Region 1. Those parts of Virginia and West Virginia not in Region 1 are in Regions 2 and 5, respectively.
For general enrollment and health services information in Region 1, call Sierra at (888) 999-5195, or visit the TRICARE web site at http://www.ha.osd.mil. The site includes claims and assistance numbers and addresses for each TRICARE region.
