Nov. 12 Pentagon Town Hall Meeting Set

Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld will host a town hall meeting Nov. 12 in the Pentagon auditorium at 11 a.m. Eastern time.

Deputy Secretary Paul Wolfowitz; Air Force Gen. Richard Myers, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; and Marine Gen. Peter Pace, Joint Chiefs vice chairman, will also participate.

Rumsfeld, after brief remarks, will take questions from the military and DoD civilian audience on hand.

Plans call for a limited number of audio and video streams to be available through DoD's Web site at www.defenselink.mil on a first come, first served basis. Users requesting access in greater numbers will get an error message.

In addition, the American Forces Radio and Television Service will telecast the event live via satellite to its viewers overseas. The event will also air on Pentagon Channel 13.

Persons with access to Ku-band satellites can view the event on the Galaxy 11 satellite, Transponder 16 (downlink frequency 12020 megahertz vertical polarity).
