Where were you in '92, or any other year, for that matter? If you were a student in one of DoD's overseas schools, Overseas Brats cordially invites you to subscribe to a new, free newsletter.
The newsletter is your ticket to information and assistance in planning for Homecoming '99, Aug. 5-8, 1999. The Texas-sized event, bringing together past students and graduates of Department of Defense Dependent Schools will be held at the Hyatt-Regency Hotel, Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, in Grapevine, Texas. The newsletter will answer most questions about the reunion, including groups and schools planning get-togethers, mini-reunions and reunions planned in conjunction with the homecoming. You'll also find out how to make sure your group or school is represented.
If you're already a member of Overseas Brats, you'll receive the newsletter with the May edition of Overseas Brats Magazine. If you're not a member but still want a copy, contact Brats President Joe Condrill by e-mail at OSBPRES@aol.com. Tell him whether you want a print or electronic version. If you want a printed copy, provide your full name and address.
Condrill also has information on events planned for 1997, including a May 2 regional get-together in Dallas and a Kissimmee (Fla.) Gathering Oct. 22-25.
A portion of proceeds from Homecoming '99 will be donated to the Overseas Schools Historical Society. The society plans to develop a museum, archives and historical park in the United States to celebrate the brats' heritage.
More information for and about military brats can be found on the Internet. Sites include the Military Brats Registry at www.military-brats.com and Military Brats Online at www.lynxu.com/brats.
