A Red Cross website is connecting family and friends with military loved ones stationed in Japan.
Military members and their families overseas can relay their status and pass on messages to loved ones by registering with the American Red Cross-sponsored "Safe and Well" website.
Back home, family and friends can access information about their military loved ones by entering the service member's pre-disaster phone number or complete home address.
