What's your job?
I'm a field MP. We deploy and we handle patrolling, police mentoring, convoys, and prisoners of war.
What's your favorite part?
I love the constant training. A lot of specialty schools are hard to get into but military policemen get priority.
What's the most challenging part?
While the deployments may come easily, sometimes the frequency can be tough. I got back from Iraq in October to find us ramping up for Afghanistan.
How does your job support the mission of 2nd MAW and MCAS Cherry Point?
We're the ground support for the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing. I deployed with Marine Wing Support Squadron 271 from March - October 2009 and we did a lot of convoy security and base security.
