TULSA, Okla. – Families and Airmen assigned to the 137th Special Operations Wing gathered for a Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program event in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on June 14, 2025, for support in transitioning into civilian life after deployment.
The event was designed to equip post-deployment Airmen and families with the resources, connections and knowledge necessary to navigate reintegrating back into civilian life successfully. These programs aim to assist service members and their dependents that face the challenges of deployment by providing a network of support.
“This event let me talk to resources that I didn't think I had access to,” said an Airman assigned to the 137th SOW. “It lets you get in touch with resources if you need them.”
Airmen and families who attended were educated on the tailored post-deployment information and services that are available to them, including educational resources, employment opportunities, health care and financial benefits.
“It assists not just service members, but their family members,” said an Air Commando assigned to the 137th SOW who served as the project officer for the YRRP. “You are not doing this alone. You're not sending off your loved ones just to do everything yourself. There is a network, there are resources you can tap into to assist you with anything.”
