ROTA, SPAIN (May 22, 2025) - Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC) Rota stood sharp during the annual Summer Whites Inspection, a time-honored tradition reflecting the Navy’s core values of professionalism, discipline, and readiness.
Dressed in iconic summer whites, Sailors formed ranks, demonstrating the high standards that have long been a hallmark of naval service. Beyond the polished shoes and crisp uniforms, inspections are a visible reminder of the Navy’s commitment to maintaining a force always prepared--in appearance, conduct, and mission readiness.
“Attention to detail matters, not just in how we wear the uniform, but in everything we do,” said Chief Petty Officer Jose Gamboa, acting Command Master Chief. “Inspections like these reinforce the habits that carry over to mission success.”
NMRTC Rota serves as a force multiplier in Navy Medicine’s strategic global medical support mission throughout Europe, Africa, and the Middle East while also supporting operational readiness and maintaining a strategic repository of expertise at the Naval Hospital Rota Military Training Facility within the Iberian Peninsula.
Navy Medicine is represented by more than 44,000 highly-trained military and civilian health care professionals – provides enduring expeditionary medical support to the warfighter on, below, and above the sea, and ashore.
