Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW) engineer and production line branch head, Mr. Jacob Weintraub, was recently recognized by the F-16 Fighting Falcon Program Office (PMA-226) for his “exceptional dedication and outstanding performance” in relation to recent F16 repair efforts completed at FRCSW. In February of this year Mr. Weintraub’s efforts helped FRCSW and PMA-226 in overcoming a formidable challenge in obtaining a One-Time-Flight which would allow the aircraft to undergo necessary repairs at the command. Jake worked directly with Lockheed Martin and the USAF to ensure precision alignment and fulfill all engineering requirements necessary for the clearance. His efforts saved an estimated 5 months and $200,000.
FRCSW now provides critical F-16 support to the US Navy squadrons of Naval Aviation Warfare Development Command (NAWDC) and Fighter Squadron Composite 13 (VFC-13). The command is he Navy’s premier West Coast aircraft repair, maintenance, and overhaul organization specializing in Navy and Marine Corps aircraft and their related systems.
Mr. Weintraub shows once again how FRCSW employees are the Backbone of Readiness!
