FORT BELVOIR, Va. (May 1, 2025) – The Alexander T. Augusta Military Medical Center (ATAMMC) is proud to announce it has successfully maintained its “A” rating from the Leapfrog Group for the Spring 2025 period. This esteemed rating recognizes ATAMMC 's unwavering commitment to patient safety and high-quality healthcare.
The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit watchdog organization, assigns grades to general hospitals across the United States based on a comprehensive evaluation of over 30 performance measures. These metrics reflect critical aspects of hospital performance, including errors, accidents, injuries, and infections, as well as the effectiveness of systems and protocols in place to prevent them. ATAMMC 's consistent performance underscores its dedication to ensuring the safety and well-being of its patients.
