Salud en Tu Pueblo IRT 2025

UTUADO, Puerto Rico – Today Airmen, Soldiers, Sailors, and Marines concluded the planning conference for “Salud en Tu Pueblo,” an Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) mission, led by the Air Force Reserve Command with heavy support from the 1st Mission Support Command (MSC), that will provide medical services to the communities of Utuado from May 30, 2025 to Jun. 7, 2025.

IRT is a Department of Defense (DoD) military training opportunity, exclusive to the United States and its territories, that delivers joint training opportunities to increase deployment readiness. More importantly, IRT simultaneously provides key services (health care, construction, transportation, and cybersecurity) with lasting benefits for our American communities.

“We were able to perform a rehearsal of how patients will flow through the services we will provide,” said Capt. Amy Wilkerson, the 315th Aerospace Medicine Squadron (AMDS) Mission officer in charge. “We were able to solidify a plan that works with local community partners to serve the municipality of Utuado."

“This event is a multi-service mission that brings together resources and expertise to communities in need,” said Wilkerson. “We are excited about our arrival, to hit the ground running, and start providing services on 30 May.”

“Salud en Tu Pueblo” is a no-cost to the community event where service members will provide optometry, health exams, dental, behavioral health services, and public health education.
