Perth Amboy, NJ native, Sgt Jery Valdez competed in the Army Best Warrior Competition for U.S. Army Reserve Command.
Valdez is currently serving as Wheeled vehicle mechanic with U.S. Army Reserve Command at Fort McCoy, WI. Sgt valdez has served in the military for 2 years. The U.S. Army Best Warrior Competition tests soldiers and NCOs on land navigation, marksmanship, obstacle courses, urban warfare simulations, written exams, and board interviews. The competition takes place at the unit, installation, and regional levels, and culminates in an Army-wide competition. The competition results in increased readiness of individual soldiers as well as teams.
