FORT DEVENS, Mass. — Soldiers from the 461st Human Resources Company from Decatur, Ga., and the 375th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion from Mobile, Ala., processed more than 650 soldiers in support of Silver Scimitar 2010 at the support operations cell here today.
Silver Scimitar is a U.S. Army Reserve Command level multi-component human resources training exercise designed to prepare units to conduct HR missions within every theater of operations.
Inprocessing soldiers scanned their identification cards, listened to briefings and received access badges and linen before they were escorted to their quarters for the two-week exercise.
The purpose of the overall exercise is to provide HR soldiers hands-on training in preparation for deployment, said Master Sgt. Frank E. Harris, the non-commissioned officer in charge of base operations from the 375th CSSB.
"This is providing great insight into how things operate when overseas," said Spc. Darlene Taylor, a unit supply specialist from the 461st HRC.
