    2nd Infantry Division/ROK-U.S. Combined Division

CAMP HUMPHREYS, South Korea –The 2nd Infantry Division/ ROK-U.S. Combined Division held the Division’s annual recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Prevention Month, at the 2ID/RUCD headquarters on Camp Humphreys, South Korea April 4, 2024.
Maj. Gen. William ‘Hank’ Taylor, commanding general of 2ID/RUCD, signed the SHARP month proclamation board to re-emphasizes the unit’s commitment to ending the threat of sexual violence within the ranks and giving survivors the support they need when they need it. “Everyone in the unit is a key leader,” said Taylor. “From the bottom to the top, we have created an atmosphere where our true desire is about the strength of our team.”
This year’s proclamation serves as a reminder that 2ID/RUCD remains committed to the effort to curb sexual violence within the Army and encouraging others around them to do the same.
“The 2nd Infantry Division ROK/U.S. Combined Division strongly supports the dedicated efforts of national, state, and local partners actively engaged in awareness and response efforts surrounding sexual violence, ” said Staff Sgt. Tia Baker, lead victim advocate for 2ID/RUCD.
The SHARP team hopes to establish a Division free of sexual assault, sexual harassment, and associated retaliatory behaviors by reminding the Division every year with these proclamations that sexual violence has no place within the Army.
This year’s Army campaign emphasizes “Change through Unity: empower, protect and prevent”. Preventing sexual assault and sexual harassment is integral to build trust, unit cohesion and mission readiness. Building a positive, healthy command climate and culture starts with you.
