    Joint Munitions Command

Col. Ronnie Anderson Jr., the Joint Munitions Command’s commander, recently addressed members of JMC’s workforce during the third Town Hall of his tenure.

“Our main purpose is to make sure all of our 17 sites are successful,” Anderson said. “We have to meet the needs of our subordinate installations.”

JMC’s finalized Campaign Plan was revealed in the gathering, and it serves as a road map for the command. The plan’s lines of effort are human capital development, munitions readiness, security, strategic business development, and Organic Industrial Base modernization.

“We have a plan, and we are going to keep adding to it. This is our way to find opportunities to solve our gaps,” Anderson said. “We are aligned with the Army’s priorities and the Army Materiel Command’s lines of effort. We will stay nested with them.”

Using data and analytics will be instrumental in aiding JMC, while providing the right munitions, in the right quantity, at the right time and place in support of the Joint Force.

“We will codify our stretch goals,” Anderson said. “If we’re not progressing it is important to know why we aren’t progressing and find out the problems we need to solve.”

Anderson, the 14th commander of JMC, made it a point to recognize the workforce not only within its headquarters but across JMC’s OIB.

“It takes all 13,000 of us to do what we do every day,” Anderson said. “Make no mistake about it, every day is hard work but when you are surrounded by an all-star team, it makes it easier to do the hard things.

“We have never failed a Presidential Drawdown, and everybody should be proud of that,” Anderson added. “The things that we do are so important, and I really enjoy being part of the team.”

Anderson stated unpredictability is a future certainty. However, he knows that JMC will handle any task the command is given.

“The only way of finding the limits of the possible is by going beyond them into the impossible,” Anderson said. “We have and will continue to push through the boundary of what we thought was possible and go into the impossible.”
