MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. — Airmen from Minot returned home from their most recent Bomber Task Force deployment to Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, on March 6, 2024.
The task force, given the name 23rd Expeditionary Bomb Squadron (EBS), composed of approximately 280 Airmen and six B-52H Stratofortresses, were tasked to accomplish 36 strategic deterrence missions within the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command area of responsibility during the six-week deployment.
Strategic bomber missions enhance readiness, and provide the training necessary to respond to any potential crisis or challenge across the globe. These missions demonstrate the Pacific Air Force's capacity to dominate, deny and deter any aggression or influence from adversaries.
Team Minot’s participation in BTF missions enable aircrews, maintainers, and support personnel to integrate with allied and partner nations in the region, while completing familiar global strike mission sets.
