Costello is viewed as a driving force within his unit , as he is one of two active duty members assigned to oversee the off-site munitions storage area, where he leads & trains 83 ROK Air Force Airmen to manage a $250 million U.S. Air Force-owned munitions cache.
He seamlessly collaborated with ROKAF Security Forces personnel to execute Kunsan’s first-ever siren & broadcast warning drills, aimed to hasten responses to adversarial threats.
His attention to detail and innovative thinking revealed and resolved two critical vulnerabilities.
Additionally, Costello was crucial to Pacific Air Forces $2.8 billion munitions repositioning objectives where he directed a shipment of 13 thousand assets. This postured the theater for rapid response and solidified the Wolf Pack's ability to “Take The Fight North”.
Congratulations to Staff Sgt. Costello and thank you for your dedication to the Airmen and mission of the Wolf Pack!
