KABUL, Afghanistan - An Afghan-international security force on a routine patrol found a cache of drugs in the Garm Ser District of Helmand province yesterday.
The cache consisted of four bags of opium weighing 18 kilograms (40 lbs). The joint force also found an AK-47 with magazines, a bayonet and a letter from an anti-Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan organization.
One person was detained for further questioning. The drugs will be destroyed.
