KABUL, Afghanistan — The Herat province Department of Health and the Italian Provincial Reconstruction Team inaugurated a health care center in Yeaka Darakht, a village in the Rabat Sangi Kushk district, Feb. 9.
The Italian Ministry of Defence donated 72,000€ for the center, which will be used for all primary health services, first aid and emergency management. The center will guarantee health care for people living in approximately 140 district villages.
Mohammed Sikha, the governor of the district, Mr. Rashed, the head of the Health Department in Herat, key representatives of the provincial council and other local authorities attended the ceremony.
