Markwayne Mullin, U.S. senator for the state of Oklahoma, visited the 97th Air Mobility Wing at Altus Air Force Base, April 6, 2023. Senator Mullin is a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, where he serves on the following three subcommittees: Airland, Emerging Threats and Capabilities, and Readiness and Management Support. During his inaugural visit, Mullin learned about the AAFB mission and had an opportunity to meet some AAFB Airmen. After receiving the wing mission brief, Mullin was able to get a view of flying operations from the tower and tour of a KC-46 Pegasus.
