KUNSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea –
The 8th Civil Engineer Squadron fire services flight partnered with the Gunsan City Fire Department during a local training event at the Wolmyung Stadium in Gunsan City, Oct. 28, 2022.
The training scenario event included a simulated fire in the stadium causing structural damage, leading to a collapse. 8 CES personnel showcased various ways they can rescue victims and demonstrated how the local fire department would work with the U.S. Air Force to help maximize life-saving tactics.
Training together for possible future scenarios reaffirms our commitment to the Republic of Korea and fosters better cooperability by helping us establish trust on a local level.
