JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas – The 433rd Security Forces Squadron of the 433rd Airlift Wing received a new commander, Maj. Mark Howard, during an assumption of command ceremony here, Oct. 15.
The assumption of command ceremony marks a formal passing of responsibility, authority and accountability of command. The mission of the 433rd SFS is to train unit members to meet wartime mission requirements while providing support assistance to its active-duty counterparts. It deploys security forces personnel to provide air base defense, physical security, law enforcement and resource protection missions in any climate or location.
