Navy Recruiting Command’s Navy Talent Acquisition Group (NTAG) Nashville will be participating in NASCAR’s 3-day event starting June 24 at Nashville SuperSpeedway.

NASCAR will be returning to Middle Tennessee and NTAG Nashville sees this as a great opportunity to engage with the local community.

"Participating in an event as significant as the Ally 400 at the Nashville SuperSpeedway allows the United States Navy access to a large and diverse population who may not be aware of everything the Navy offers," said Cmdr. Lauren Majchrzak, Commanding Officer of NTAG Nashville.

Starting June 24, the Navy’s Virtual Reality Experience Simulator, the Nimitz, will be operational for all guests and attendees. Prior to the stock car races on Friday and Saturday, the Navy’s Parachute Team, "Leap Frogs", will jump and land mid-field.

On Sunday, Cmdr. Majchrzak, will present the oath of enlistment for Future Sailors from the local area, showcasing all the amazing young men and women who are ready to serve their country. Following the national anthem, Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 131, from Oceana, Va., will execute a flyover just prior to the start of the Ally 400.

"The goal for this weekend is to bring Navy awareness to a part of the country that does not interact with the Navy in their day to day life," said Cmdr. Majchrzak. "The Navy has so many amazing opportunities and the ability to talk with the Leap Frogs, fighter pilots, and Sailors from all walks of life is a unique opportunity for the public and hopefully increases Navy awareness and the potential for future service."

NTAG Nashville includes 46 Navy recruiting stations across the states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Georgia covering 138,000 square miles.
