    Air Operations in Afghanistan:

    Asadabad
Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle aircraft flew armed overwatch for friendly forces. Precision guided munitions were employed in a preemptive strike on an enemy compound when the enemy was observed massing at a known enemy location for a possible attack on friendly forces. As the enemy forces shifted from building to building in the compound, the buildings were destroyed and the threat to friendly forces was eliminated.

Air Force F-16C aircraft provided armed overwatch and surveillance for friendly forces. The aircraft were requested to observe enemy fighting positions and then requested to eliminate the enemy targets in order to deter any potential enemy action. The actions were considered success when no enemy action was noted.

    Now Zad
Air Force MQ-9A Reaper aircraft were providing armed overwatch for friendly forces. The aircraft were also providing reconnaissance of the area. When enemy forces were observed entering an enemy fighting position in the vicinity of friendly forces and weapons confirmed in their possession, missiles and precision guided munitions were released in a preemptive strike on the enemy, successfully eliminating a threat to the friendly forces.

    Chahar Bagh

When suspicious personnel were reported in the middle of one of the routes a show of force was performed that scattered the suspicious personnel.
