The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District awarded another military construction project for the Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, rebuild! The $80.6 million contract, managed by our Air Force Civil Engineer Center's Natural Disaster Recovery Division, is for the installation's weapons evaluation group’s Subscale Drone Facilities.
The project is for five buildings to support the storage, assembly and maintenance of subscale drones. The facilities will include an engine test cell, a POD shop, covered storage area, drone maintenance facility and a rail-ready drone storage facility with construction expected to be complete in May 2024.
