Resiliency clips offer personal insight on how Airmen recharge

MCGHEE TYSON AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Tenn. -- The Air National Guard Prevention Education and Outreach production team, or ANG Cares 365, released a series of resiliency video clips to promote good emotional health practices.

Producer, U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Kelly Collett said that their "How [do they] Practice Resilience" videos share personal insight on how others ensure emotional well-being. Watch them from the organization's Facebook account ANGcares.

"We just wanted to show what others do to stay resilient," said Collett. "Along the lines that everybody has a story, most people have something that they do to recharge that makes them happy."

The video production team located on McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base in East Tennessee met Airmen where they were, whether hiking, running, woodworking, weightlifting, or going to the zoo with family. The video puts viewers in that environment and combines it with upbeat background music and personal statements. The production team said that they hope to inspire others with additional videos for this year.

"The thing about this is, there are endless possibilities," said Master Sgt. John Young, video producer. "We started with a single video, but it became a bunch of little clips and something larger and really cool."

The team works under the Drug Demand Reduction Program. They collaborate with the I.G. Brown Training and Education Center's production branch and the Warrior Network television studios.
