    914th Air Refueling Wing

Despite the cold, family, friends, and co-workers gathered December 4, 2021 at the Col. John Moriarty Memorial Park, Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station to remember those unit members who have passed away. The Park which is named after the first commander of the 3rd Combat Cargo Squadron in World War II, the precursor to the 914th Air Refueling Wing, also passed away several months ago at the age of 101.

In the spirit of this honor, Airmen from the 914th ARW created the park and a ceremony was conducted to honor Technical Sergeant Nicholas Vogler, Senior Airman Kyle Prince, and Airman First Class Jared Klepacz, who dedicated themselves to their community, and the nation.

Maj. Brian Rhoney, 914th Mission Support Group Executive Officer, who was the narrator for the event said, “It was a privilege to participate in the ceremony. 914th Airmen led by the Top 3 council dedicated countless hours to the memorial park. The continued outreach to the families and those at the base who knew these Airmen spotlight the outstanding character and proud heritage of our organization.”
