MCGHEE TYSON AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Tenn. -- An autumn afternoon showed the colors of the season at the I.G. Brown Training and Education Center campus, November 9, on McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base, just outside the Great Smoky Mountains, in East Tennessee.
TEC is a detachment of the Air National Guard Readiness Center. It conducts an average of 16 Enlisted Professional Military Education courses and 40 Professional Continuing Education sessions throughout the year, through both virtual and in-residence programs.
The center was established in July 1968 as the Professional Military Education Center. Today it is one of the Air Force's top producers of total force Enlisted PME graduates. The campus's TEC University provides instructional development, PME, video productions, and manages the ANG’s broadcast television studios and the Warrior Network.
