Captain Myaing, NML&PDC Commanding Officer, led a one-day strategic offsite workshop at the National Intrepid Center of Excellence, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (NICoE WRNNMC) on Friday, 5 November. The workshop provided Command leadership an opportunity to proactively assess current operations against future requirements, identifying opportunities to optimize customer support.
Meeting preparation was critical to maximize outcomes. All Command team members provided input regarding Command mission and vision statements, definitions of “culture of excellence” and “relevance” as well as identifying Threats, Opportunities, Weaknesses and Strengths (TOWS) prior to the workshop to facilitate discussion.
Rear Admiral Kuehner, Commander, Naval Medical Forces Support Command, delivered opening remarks, emphasizing the importance of strategic planning and thanked everyone for being proactive and participating in this important event.
Ms. Ann-Marie Regan, Special Assistant, Organizational Development, WRNMMC facilitated activities throughout the day for more than 30 junior and senior officers, enlisted and civilian participants representing all Command Directorates. Each contributed valuable experience and insight during discussion resulting in collectively developed Command mission and vision statements and targeted goals and objectives.
