261st COS recognizes 2019 deployment achievements for 20 SMs

VAN NUYS, Calif. -- The 261st Cyberspace Operations Squadron with the California National Guard’s 195th Wing, awarded service medals to 20 Airmen, on September 11, 2021, at Sepulveda Air National Guard Station, Van Nuys, California, for their outstanding achievement while assigned to the 261st COS. While assigned to the 856th Cyber Protection Team during a 2019 deployment, their professional skill, dedication and ceaseless efforts resulted in major contributions to the effectiveness and success of the team. Due to COVID-19 protocols, unit leaders chose to wait to award the medals to service members until the September 2021 unit training assembly so unit members could be together to receive the medals as a team.
