Soldiers from the United States Army Europe Band and Chorus came to the Rhine Ordnance Barracks to entertain travelers and bring us all together through music, Oct. 8, 2021.
While travelers wait for the next leg of their journey to their new homes, the shows that were given are to raise morale not only for the travelers but also the servicemembers who have been working hard during Operation Allies Welcome
“This is an awesome opportunity for the travelers to see all the awesome things America has to offer” says Sgt. 1st Class Christian Williams “It’s a great feeling to provide happiness to people through music.
The band performed a range of numbers from instrumentals to songs that would be considered classics such as ‘Hey Jude’ by The Beatles
The performances give everyone working a chance to slow down for a while and truly embrace beautiful moments like these that don’t happen very often.
“It’s such a rewarding feeling just knowing we touched a lot of people in that moment.” Says Sgt. Sydney D. Rosas, vocalist for the USAREUR band “That is something that not only the travelers can take back as a memory but we can as well.”
