Chaplain (Lt. Col.) Kevin Chelf assumed the Wing Chaplain role from Chaplain (Colonel) David Kelley, Air Force Global Strike, during the Passing of the Stole ceremony on June 29, 2021, in the Base Chapel at F.E. Warren Air Force Base.
The Passing of the Stole reminds all chaplains of their calling and their pastoral responsibility to provide religious support to Airmen and Families. This change of command ceremony is a tradition that represents a formal transfer of authority and responsibility from the previous Wing Chaplain to the new Wing Chaplain.
“Thank you all so much for your support,” said Chelf.
