The Trimble GCS900 Grade Control System is a three-part system consisting of a Grade Laser, RC remote, and a Receiver that eliminates the need for stakes, hubs, and string lines. Horizontal grade measurements can be obtained at distances of up to 900m (3,000 ft). Lift and tilt functions are controlled automatically by the GCS900, improving speed and accuracy of the equipment. The long-range remote-control option requires only one person for set-up and operation of the laser.
In-cab display information and grade-control features allow operators to spend more time effectively moving material and less time waiting for surveying and grade-checking. Ultimately, manpower and equipment costs are significantly reduced while increasing productivity across heavy civil projects. NMCB-11 Detail Israel operators are currently employing the system across grading operations for the Civil Layer Construction project in support of Israel Ministry of Defense and USAFE joint exercises.
