Major Kevin Shannon took command of the 90th Munitions Squadron during a change of command ceremony May 13, 2021, on F.E. Warren AFB, Wyo.
Shannon previously served as the Operations Officer for the 28th Maintenance Squadron at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota.
Maj. Claus Fasting, outgoing 90th MUNS commander, will continue to serve at F.E. Warren AFB as commander for the 90th Missile Maintenance Squadron.
A change of command ceremony is a tradition that represents a formal transfer of authority and responsibility from the outgoing commander to the incoming commander.
Fasting was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal for his accomplishments while in command at the 90th MUNS.
