F.E. WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, Wyo. --
The Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce, during the Military May Luncheon, presented the Military Affairs Committee’s Cheyenne Trophy to the 90th Logistics Readiness Squadron from F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming, on May 7, 2021.
The MAC Cheyenne Trophy is presented annually to members of the U.S. Armed Forces whose mission accomplishments, patriotism, volunteerism, and community involvement resulted in a positive impact to the city of Cheyenne.
“The Chamber’s Military May luncheon is all about celebrating the men and women in uniform in our community,” said Dale Steenbergen, Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce president and chief executive officer.
Airmen from the 90 LRS have been active leaders and participants in multiple community programs including Meals on Wheels, American Legion Post #6 Bar Bucks Program, Laramie County Community Christmas Program, Cornea Shelter, Saint Joseph’s Food Pantry, and more.
“The men and women of the 90 Logistics Readiness Squadron epitomize the values of the USAF and are truly excellent partners of the Cheyenne community, “ said Col. Carolyn Ammons, 90th Mission Support Group Commander. “I am proud to serve with the over 200 logistical professionals in the 90th Mission Support Group.”
90 LRS is one of the three squadrons that has been honored to receive the Cheyenne Trophy this year. They are being recognized for their valuable contributions to the community and the base.
“The 90 LRS command team is very proud of our service members, civilians, strong families, and contractors who make up this incredible team,” Chief Master Sgt. Juan Torres, 90 LRS superintendent.
90 LRS supports the 90th Missile Wing and intercontinental ballistic missile missions by providing supply, transportation, fuels, vehicle management, and logistics planning.
