This face-to-face course is designed to provide new Naval Medical Department officers of all Corps with an indoctrination into Navy Medicine, covering fundamental personnel management and operational readiness knowledge, skills, and abilities.
This five-day in-residence course directly supports the Surgeon General's Navy Medicine Priorities, the 4 P's (People, Platforms, Performance, and Power), and orient Naval Medical Department officers of all Corps to DoD, Navy, And Navy Medicine organizational structures in preparation for operational assignments with the Fleet and Marine Forces.
During the course, NML&PDC will host students and instructors in Bethesda, MD, where the participants will berth and mess in local civilian contracted lodging. The course will occur within conference spaces adjacent to student berthing to minimize student travel during their stay.
