SAN DIEGO (Jan. 28, 2021) – Amphibious dock landing ship USS Comstock (LSD 45) returned to its homeport of Naval Base San Diego, January 28, following a deployment to the U.S. 7th Fleet and U.S. 4th Fleet areas of operation.
"Our Comstock crew has demonstrated the utmost professionalism and flexibility conducting a range of diverse operations during this deployment," said Cmdr. Kevin Culver, commanding officer of Comstock. "I am proud to be a part of this talented and resilient team."
U.S. 3rd Fleet leads naval forces in the Indo-Pacific and provides the realistic, relevant training necessary to flawlessly execute our Navy’s timeless roles of sea control and power projection. U.S. 3rd Fleet works in close coordination with other numbered fleets to provide commanders with capable, ready assets to deploy forward and win in day-today competition, in crisis, and in conflict.
