    2d Theater Signal Brigade

    Command Sergeant Major Lonnie R. Null assumed his position as 2d Theater Signal Brigade Command Sergeant Major, December 2020. CSM Null is a native of New Mexico. He enlisted in the Army in 1994 as a 31U (Signal Support Systems Specialist). He attended Basic Training at Fort Jackson, SC, and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Gordon, GA.

    During his career he has served with HHD, 224th Support Battalion (Forward), 24th Infantry Division; HHD, 26th Forward Support Battalion, 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Stewart, GA; HHC, 1st Battalion 29th Infantry HQ & A CO., Fort Benning, GA; 16th Medical Logistics Battalion, 18th Medical Command, Camp Carroll, Korea; A CO., 82nd Signal Battalion; HHC, 1-504 Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division; Signal Squadron SGM, Special Missions Unit (SMU); Command Sergeant Major 112th Signal Battalion (Special Operations) (Airborne), Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and his last assignment was the J6 Senior Enlisted Advisor at United States Operation Command (USSOCOM) MacDill Air Force Base Tampa, FL.

    CSM Null has followed and led soldiers, civilians, and government team members at various levels in his career to include the Support Battalion, Mechanized, TRADOC, Medical, Airborne Signal, Airborne Light Infantry, Special Operations Units and, Joint Task Forces. His numerous combat deployments while serving in mentioned positions include Intrinsic Action, Operation Iraqi Freedom, New Dawn, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Inherent Resolve.

    CSM Null’s military and civilian education include Brigade Pre-Command/Command Sergeant Major Course 21-01, Joint Pre-Command Course 17-B 2017, Joint Special Operations Forces Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 6) 2012, Military Free Fall Jumpmaster, Operator Training Course (Direct Support-Communications), FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (Elements 1, 3, & 8), Free Fall Parachutist, Combat Developer Acquisition Course, Jumpmaster, Instructor Training Course, Advanced Leaders Course, Equal Opportunity Course, and Master Fitness Course. He holds a BA in Communications from Thomas Edison State University.

    His awards include Bronze Star Medal (2OLC), Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (1OLC), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (3OLC), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal (1SLC, 3OLC), Army Good Conduct Medal (9 Awards), Presidential Unit Citation Medal, Valorous Unit Award, Nation Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal w/ Campaign Star (2CS), Iraq Campaign Medal w/ Campaign Star (3CS), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (numeral 5), Army Service Ribbon, Over Seas Ribbon (numeral 2), NATO Medal, Combat Action Badge, Military Free Fall Parachutist Badge Jumpmaster Badge, Senior Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, German Designated Rifle Cord Level 2 (Silver)/Schutzenschur (Silver), and the Japanese Parachutist Badge.
