U.S. Army Soldiers from 1st Infantry Division Forward and Area Support Group-Poland received and distributed personal protective equipment (PPE) and other medical supplies in Poznan, Poland on April 9th, 2020.
PPE such as gloves and masks are being distributed to all military personal in Europe in order to combat the spread of COVID-19.
Additionally, infrared and digital thermometers are also being delivered in order to accurately determine if visiting and returning base personnel have fevers – a common symptom of COVID-19.
The supplies and equipment were delivered to installations in DPTA, Powidz, Torun, BPTA, Zagan, Boleslawiec and Swiebodzin within 24 hours of arrival in Poznan.
The health and welfare of the U.S. service members are paramount to the Atlantic Resolve mission of being combat ready, and of the U.S. commitment to its NATO partners and allies.
