Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield will hold the semiannual Fort Stewart Historic Communities Council meeting and Spring Cemetery visit April 10.
During this tour, stops will be made at Gill, Wise, Clyde, Little Creek, Shuman, Ledford and Warnell cemeteries.

A fried chicken lunch will be held at Little Creek Cemetery, catered by an on-post commercial franchise. The lunch cost is $6. Attendees will need to confirm if they wish the lunch with their reservation. Please use exact change upon arrival to pay for the lunch.

Participants should meet us at the Liberty Independent Troop Park/Stafford Pavilion located on Hwy. 84 behind the Liberty County Recreation Dept. Office at 609 E. Oglethorpe Hwy., in Hinesville, beginning at 7:30 a.m. The tour starts at 8:30 a.m.

The installation's Directorate of Public Works, Environmental, Cultural Awareness and Forestry Departments will be on-hand to provide information regarding the cemeteries.

This will be a physically demanding tour. Please do not attempt if you are not physically able to walk, board a bus with little help, and navigate uneven terrain. Dress comfortably, preferably in layers, with comfortable shoes, and a hat or other sun protection. Bottled water and insect repellent are also suggested.

For your convenience, comfort stations will be located throughout the tour.

Space is limited, please reserve your space with Dina McKain at (912) 435-9874 or email dina.m.mckain.civ@mail.mil.
