The "Eagles" of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 115 conducted advanced warfighting training with the United States Air Force Dec. 3rd.

Indo-Pacific.
"The NE Asia region remains a vital area of interest for the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command," said Cmdr. Williams, VFA-115 Commanding Officer. "Maintaining proficiency and integration with joint organizations and assets across the Department of Defense (DoD) was a critical training component of ours."
VFA-115 conducted flight operations with U.S. Air Force assets including the F-16 Fighting Falcon and the A-10 Thunderbolt II.
"Moving our squadron is no small task and thankfully we had the full support of our motivated crew," said Aviation Machinist Mate Chief Daniel Blandford. "Our ability to pick up and move operations is dependent on the hard work of our entire team."
Joint operations, the ability for multiple branches of the military to work together toward a common mission, is the ultimate strength of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command.
Joint forces are capable of combat-credible deterrence, and are ready to fight and win.
"Right away we were able to integrate with our U.S. Air Force counterparts," said Lt. Garrett Sherwood. "Being able to operate together so seamlessly really maximized the value of our time and furthered our capabilities with one another in the future."
The squadrons executed several scenario-based training evolutions including joint air-to-air and air-to-surface strikes, air support for ground units as well as establishing local air superiority.
"Seamless integration across the Joint Force is assumed in the current environment," said Williams. "No one service can win alone, therefore we strive to achieve flawless interoperability in order to meet any tasking across the spectrum of conflict, with an end result of mission success."
The U.S. Navy regularly partners with other branches of military in the Indo-Pacific to maintain peace and stability throughout the region.
VFA-115 is forward-deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations in support of security and stability in the Indo-Pacific region and regularly operates with Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5 units and embarks aboard the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76).
