The Jacksonville-Little Rock Air Force Base University Center is committed to making education a priority for anyone in Jacksonville, Arkansas, Little Rock AFB or the surrounding areas in the pursuit of their personal and professional goals.

The University Center is a tremendous educational partnership for Little Rock AFB and the community of Jacksonville, servicing not only all military members and their families, but also the local civilian community.

The University Center campus was originally located within the perimeter of Little Rock AFB, requiring base access. However, in 2011, the campus moved to the Jacksonville-Little Rock AFB University Center just outside of the base, removing any special access requirements to utilize the University Center and making it available to the public.

Located at the corner of Vandenberg Blvd. and John Harden Dr., where Jacksonville and the base meet, the university center is a visual reminder of the storied Jacksonville-Little Rock Air Force Base partnership.

“We have four different colleges and universities here readily available to help students,” said Patrick Loggins, 19th Force Support Squadron education and training chief. “Our doors are always open for the community as well as for the men and women of Little Rock AFB.”

Arkansas State University Beebe, Park University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and Webster University are available to assist students working toward their educational goals. With lunch, evening, weekend and online classes available, the university center can help anyone excel in their education with a schedule that suits their individual needs.

If a student is working toward an undergraduate or graduate degree, college-level examination program tests and other standardized tests are available daily for students to gain college credits without taking a full course.

For Airmen wishing to further their professional development, the university center administers the Air Force officer qualifying test, career development course tests, and other exams that could assist with career-specific certifications.

“Having this facility available for the community and military members means the knowledge they obtain here will be taken all over the world,” said Brittany O’Mealia, ASU Beebe campus operations coordinator.

Little Rock AFB and the City of Jacksonville teamed up when building the university center to make sure anyone living here would be given resources to assist them with their future.
