TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. The 60th Medical Group has renovated its Base Exchange Pharmacy at Travis to better serve its patients and staff needs. BX Pharmacy services relocated to a temporary facility next to the main BX and adjacent to the “Lemon lot.”

Following pharmacy construction, the BX Pharmacy is scheduled to reopen Jan. 21 at the BX Mini Mall. The purpose of the construction was to develop a pharmacy layout more conducive to a large pharmacy operation to reduce overall wait times for picking up prescriptions.

“The pharmacy construction aims to improve the efficiency of pharmacy operations for all beneficiaries,” said U.S. Air Force Capt. Michael Johnson, 60th Medical Group chief of BX pharmacy operations. “With such a high patient volume, it is critical for the pharmacy to have an optimal design, innovative information technology assets and spacing necessary to conduct safe and efficient patient care.”

During the changeover, the ScriptCenter self-service kiosks will remain in operation at the current location for optional refill pickup and be available throughout the closure dates. Beneficiaries should allow three duty days for refill prescription processing.

    The kiosks are open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

The Satellite Pharmacy will close Friday Jan. 17.

BX Pharmacy hours will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The renovation project began in December 2018 and is projected to be completed by late January. Beneficiaries will continue to be able to have their civilian network provider prescriptions and refill prescriptions processed at the renovated site.

For more information call the pharmacy at 707-423-7114 or 707-423-5345.
