North Carolina National Guard service members, friends, family members and distinguished guests attended the change of responsibility ceremony to welcome the new command sergeant major of 60th Troop Command at the Joint Force Headquarters here, Jan. 5, 2019.

U.S. Army Command Sgt. Maj. Diana L. Staton, the outgoing command sergeant major of 60th Troop Command relinquished her command responsibility to U.S. Army Command Sgt. Maj. Brian L. “I am excited for our journey ahead,” Webb said. “I come to stand in front of you today to publicly declare my honesty, loyalty and accountability to you.”
Webb enlisted in the NCNG in 1991 as a 19K M1A1 tanker. In 1996, he entered the Active Guard Reserve program and has held leadership positions from company readiness NCO, first sergeant, battalion and brigade master gunner, brigade operations sergeant major, G3 operations sergeant major and two tours as a battalion command sergeant major.

“They are not my accomplishments, but all of yours, and I’m glad to have been a part of them,” Staton said. “I couldn’t have asked for a better group of Soldiers and units to support me.”
60th TC is the most diverse brigade of the NCNG, comprised of special operations companies, a field artillery battalion, a recruiting and retention battalion, an explosive ordnance disposal company, an Army band company, a medical detachment, a public affairs detachment, and a military history detachment.
