Story by Airman 1st Class Quion Lowe

    49th Wing

Every month, a first sergeant has the honor of choosing a deserving Airman to be presented the First Sergeant Council’s Diamond Sharp Award for an outstanding act or continuous outstanding performance.

For the month of December, Master Sgt. Giles Dame, 49th SFS first sergeant, is proud to present the Diamond Sharp Award to Staff Sgt. Jeffery Keith, 49th Security Forces Squadron communication and technology integration administrator.

Staff Sgt. Jeffery Keith volunteered over 200 hours designing and creating a morale area for over 250 49th SFS members. Previously, the 49th SFS did not have a designated area for squadron functions and this project contributed to the improvement of the morale and welfare of his unit. He also volunteered as a manager and coach for the 49th SFS intramural sports team and coordinated the Thanksgiving Football Tournament.

Keith was hand-selected for a new position as the communication and technology administrator. His new duty will pave the way for the 49th SFS to ensure the safety of over 17,000 Holloman Airmen and their families.
