Approximately 130 Fort McCoy community members attended the Health Fair on Nov. 18 at building 2187.
The annual Health Fair gives vendors a chance to provide information about medical, dental, and health insurance plans that are available to federal employees. The 2019 fair featured nine vendors from companies that included Delta, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program.
The fair coincides with the federal benefits open season, which starts in November and runs through early December each year.
While the 2019 open season is over, employees can make changes at other times of the year if they have a qualifying life event, such as a marriage, divorce, or the birth or adoption of a child.
For information on qualifying life events, visit www.opm.gov/healthcare-insurance/life-events/.
The fair was organized by the Civilian Personnel Advisory Center (CPAC). CPAC provides centralized human-resources support to the entire U.S. Army Reserve civilian workforce. For more information about CPAC services, call 608-388-2722 or email usarmy.mccoy.chra-hqs.list.cpac-general-inquiries@mail.mil.
